Beyaw! More NASCAR for Evan in Richmond, VA… shoot.

So I had to fly to Richmond, VA a couple weekends ago to interview NASCAR fans in their element. It sounded cool at first, but when I got to the track and realized that all these people had been there for 3 days already, drinking their asses off, I realized it was going to be a tough day of interviewing belligerent NASCAR fans in the south. Being half Mexican, I was worried.

Luckily, they were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Well, most of them anyway. I don’t have a favorite driver, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. or “Junior” as they call him at the race, seems to be the guy to root for if you don’t want to get your ass kicked at one of these things. I think I’ll stick with him until I find out better.

One thing about NASCAR - they pray before every race. Now, I don’t think that’s a bad thing, but I thought you could like get sued for doing that stuff in a public venue. Maybe I’m wrong. I guess it’ll be fine until someone complains. But if they can do this at NASCAR, maybe the Cubs should have a prayer before each game?

I really liked Richmond, it seems like a sweet place to go to college. Also, they have Waffle Houses on like every other corner. That’s some good eatin’. Beyaw!

Who says we don't know how to use our tax dollars?

This guy was cool. I forgot his name.
